Coron is one of my top choices to visit whenever I got the chance with, and it was awesome enough to be these kind of cool kid to travel alone this Heart’s season (haters gonna hate teeheehee, nothing wrong to travel alone in this kind of season because half of the ratio of the travelers are foreigners). What am gonna share to you guys is not the typical WHAT TO DO’S and PERFECT ITINERARY to follow through. What I did there was totally no plans at all and I just enjoyed the moments and make some perfect ME TIME.
So, I arrived at Busuanga 4’oclock in the afternoon. From there you still need to ride a Van going to coron proper which cost P150( $3) . I intentionally asked the driver to drop me off last so I can find my own lodging house. But then, he even advised me that this is their high season so I must have a hard time finding one. But one lodging house made an impact to me (MARLEY’S GUESTHOUSE). It was a reggae theme backpackers inn which cost P600.00($12) per night. Lucky I am I got the last room available and special thanks to the lovely jolly receptionist named MJ for a cool funperienced and a good talks every morning and to the sweetest approachable receptionist named Randy whom patiently waiting for us to be home at night. It was totally cool to be around with you guys, thanks for letting me feel like I’m still at my home.
During my 1st day I went to Maquinit Hotspring because I heard it was good to be there at night time because of Amihan season ( a windy climate ) which make your experienced there more fun. A perfect way to distress your body from a toxic manila or city fever. I stayed there untill 9pm, anyways you can reached the hotspring via tricycle which cost P300.00($6) for an hour and an extra P50($1) for the following hours you gonna spend with. But don’t forget that there is an entrance fee cost P200($4) for an unlimited stay hihi. But I swear, you will totally be regenerated after that.
On my 2nd Day, I wake up 6’oclock in the morning to have my morning workout at Mt.Tapyas. It has a 721 steps before you reached the peak but I swear it was all worth it. A perfect scenery awaits you. Well, if you gonna ask me for the best time to stayed there I still want it during the sunset but I chose not to because tourist went uphill during that time to capture a silhouette shots. And after the super extra tiring trekking, it’s time to ISLAND HOPPING. Well, you can probably choose whatever package you wanna try with but I just did the Coron tour which consist of the famous Kayangan Lake and Twin Lagoon. From 9-6pm it has a lunch included ( sweetly cooked by your on board captain ), on my second day as well I get the chance to meet one of a cool local guy named Rj Santos whom he gave me all the tips for how can I enjoy my stay in their town.
Day 3 has full of surprises for me hahaha, I supposed to have another Island hopping which consist of the 3 famous island of corn but unfortunately I didn’t wake up on time thats why I decided to make the most of my stay since thats my last day. Thanks to the Bike Shop named Payong Bikeshop, I really enjoyed riding in your safe zoned town. 6 hours of my time were consumed because I ride going to Maquinit hot spring which I took it for 1 1/2 hour hour and spend the rest of the hours taking photo’s of the scenes. Oh by the way I don’t know how to ride a motorbike but it was the famous funtivity for the foreigners who wanna invade coron. It was fun tho but my biking skills is way way way better than any other. Thanks to my bunchkin who thought me how to be strong and not to give up ( I know you won’t read this blog but I really do appreciate you so much though you know how “arte” I am during those days I still have my own cutie patootie girly bike) . Oh! before I end up my fun-venturous travel of course I didn’t forgot to say thank you and prayed for making my trip safe. Coron’s parish is so cute and clean. It was a totally Yey trip but of course please expect a kinda expensive trip whenever you planned to visit there. Oh by the way, I tried the best way I can to make it a budget friendly travel.
